The Killers are demanding free orange chicken for life from Panda Express. Why? Because they found one of their song lyrics inside of a Panda Express fortune cookie!
The band tweeted a picture of the fortune inside the fortune cookie with "Smile Like You Mean It" written on it. "Smile Like You Mean It" was the fourth single from The Killers' debut album Hot Fuss, released in 2004 -- over ten years ago.
So, naturally Brandon Flowers and crew want royalties for the use of their song title and song lyrics -- except they want it in the form of orange chicken. They wrote, "I'm thinkin' orange chicken for life and we'll let you off the hook for using our stuff."

Mmm ... orange chicken. 😋
So, will The Killers get free orange chicken for life? Or perhaps a celebrity Panda Express card would suffice? It's not known yet ... we don't know what's going down in their DMs. However, Panda Express did respond to the band's tweet writing, "When it comes to #OrangeChickenLove, we always mean it."
In other words, when it comes to orange chicken, they don't mess around.
